Dear Friends:

...Deborah and I had some really special times with our children and grandchildren during the month of August. We all met at a beach house on Florida's Gulf Coast for several days and I got to build sandcastles with my grandson Grady. I also visited my parents (who are 88 and 87 and in good health), and we took a second trip to see the grandkids over the Labor Day weekend. Our two grandsons Grady and Hananiah are growing up, as you can see in the photo below. We also are happy to announce that our daughter Margaret is pregnant with Number Three!

…I will be brief in this newsletter because I am leaving tomorrow for a trip to Peru. Thanks to all of you for your love and support. I say this often, but it is worth repeating: I really appreciate your prayer support and I do not believe I could continue to do this work without your intercession. Please continue praying!

Important Prayer Requests

** I fly to Peru this Thursday, Sept. 10, and will be in the cities of Tarapoto and Lima. In both cities I will be speaking at the Save the Family conference. This is the first time we have done this conference in Tarapoto, a jungle city near the Amazon region. This is the city where we are planning to build a women's shelter. Please pray that this project will be fully funded. Below you can see pastor David and Teresa Gomez, who will be the directors of this ministry with us.

** Please pray for safety and health during this 10-day trip. Please also pray for my friends Abel Araya (below, left) and Anibal Astorga, who will be accompanying me. Abel is a youth pastor at a large Ethiopian church in Washington, D.C., and Anibal is a Mexican-American brother who works at a church in California. Both of these guys want to learn as much as they can about ministry while traveling with me. Please pray for their safety and protection as well.

** Please also pray with me about our upcoming Bold Venture retreats for men and women. The men's will be held in Philadelphia Oct. 8-10, and the women's will be held in Atlanta Oct. 22-24. Both of these retreats are powerful times of impartation as well as connection and fellowship. If you would like to register for either event, just go to bold-venture.com. The women's is almost full so you will need to act soon. I have several guys from overseas coming to speak at the men's event, so please pray that they will all be able to arrive safely from their homes in Uganda, England, Iceland, India, Australia and Canada.

** Please especially pray for my friend Michael Coretti (below), a pastor from Canada who will be speaking at the men's Bold Venture event. Mike needs favor to get his passport renewed in time for the retreat. Please agree with us that his passport will be expedited in plenty of time!

...I know I sound like a broken record, but please agree with us continually for the supernatural funding we need to grow this ministry. I am in desperate need of the funds to hire staff and build the infrastructure so we can effective take Christ's healing to the many nations where women are suffering. I know God is able to provide. Thank you for believing with us for a financial miracle.

Please send us any prayer requests you have. We love you very much.
