Dear Friends:

Thank you so much for your commitment to pray for me and The Mordecai Project. I need your prayers now more than ever.

...This Wednesday I will be flying to Guatemala for a special 9-day outreach. I am asking all our intercessors to double up your prayer efforts for our team during the time we are there. Below are some clear prayer points that will help you pray:

…We have a team of 32 people from three churches joining me on this mission trip. We will be working alongside Oto and Ilma Morales (below), who pastor Iglesia Nueva Vision in El Rosario, Guatemala, near the town of Rio Hondo. I have visited this community eight times. This is the largest team I have ever taken overseas, so please pray for safety, health and strength for the entire team, which includes some teenagers. Our team members are coming from Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico; Orlando, Florida; and Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

…As you know we are building a women's shelter in this community, and we already have the land. Part of our time will be spent helping to lay the foundations for the house, which will eventually be used as a refuge for women who are struggling because of abuse. Below you can see me with Erick and Ana Ester Paz, the pastors of a satellite congregation of Iglesia Nueva Vision. They will be the directors of the shelter.

…We will have three team leaders on this trip. Below you can see Luis and Cynthia Roig, who pastor Casa del Padre Church in Puerto Rico. Luis and Cynthia will be speaking at a marriage conference during the weekend we are there, and they will be sharing truths from their book, Corazones Maltratados ("Abused Hearts"). Luis and Cynthia have a powerful testimony of how God healed their marriage from abuse and the effects of machismo. Please pray for Luis and Cynthia, and pray that many marriages will be healed in these sessions.

…The couple below, Andy and Marcia Butcher, will lead the team from Church of the New Covenant in Orlando. They will also be speaking at the marriage conference. Please pray for smooth translation.

…Below you can see Quentin and Dianne Beard, who pastor Sioux Falls First Assembly in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. They are bringing a team from their church that will focus on children's ministry. We will be doing several outreaches to kids in the area, and their children's pastor will also be teaching classes on how to do clown ministry.

…So to summarize, please pray for the following:

** Strength, health and safety for everyone on the Guatemala team
** Powerful anointing on all the meetings we do in churches and the marriage conference
** That many children will find Christ in the outreach meetings
** Provision for all materials needed to build the women's shelter (we still need about $35,000 to complete the building)
** Lasting spiritual impact after we are gone

Other Prayer Requests

** Our small ministry has grown to the point that I simply cannot run it with the skeleton staff we have. The Mordecai Project has consisted of me and my part-time assistant, Amy van Tilborgh, who has served faithfully since 2010. But I have come to the place where I need fulltime help. Our plan is for Amy to take on more responsibility, and at the same time hire my son in the Lord, Paul Muzichuk (shown below with his wife Maria and their two children), to serve as Ministry Director. Paul is currently raising monthly support to come on staff. If you would like to make a one-time donation for this, or a monthly pledge, please just hit the donate button and note that your gift is for Paul Muzichuk's support. Please also pray that God will supply this need!

** Please also pray for our ministry intern KC Bergland, who is serving right now in Tarapoto, Peru. KC is helping to prepare for the launching of our women's shelter there and she is working with Pastor Teresa Gomez to minister to the many abused women in that area. KC needs our prayer covering.

Thank you so much for believing in this mission to bring Christ's healing to the abused and oppressed women of the world. We could not do this without you!
